Sorry for my delay in the report on the trip to Denver. The human has had a busy couple of weeks, and it has been a bit difficult getting to the computer. So before I give you my review of Denver I first must give you a review of The Average Joe Cat Show which was on Saturday the 14th of May.
This show is presented by Purrfect Pals cat shelter every year. The show is a fund raiser for the shelter, and they have fun categories like longest whiskers and longest tail. This year I was entered in the longest whiskers and best tuxedo kitty. Nora was entered in softest fur and best tortie, and we were both entered in the best pair. Even though we don't look like alike, the human thought maybe us snuggling up together would wow the judges. Well, I am happy to report Nora won best tortie. The show was also very well attended with lots of people coming out to support the shelter and see all the kitties competing. The human and her friends were very happy to see everyone supporting the shelter.
So the Average Joe Show was on Saturday and on Sunday morning we woke up and left for the airport to go to Denver. The flight there I have to say was a little scary. There was lots of turbulence, and I am glad I had Nora to snuggle with during the flight. After we landed, we had to wait quite a long time for the shuttle to the hotel, and I could tell the human was getting a bit concerned. The human was trying to get to the hotel because she was meeting the human Nora for dinner. I was just anxious to get out of the carrier and stretch my legs and start my hotel review. Okay so finally the shuttle arrived and we left the airport and then we had to turn around and pick up more people and then we got stuck at the gate getting back into the airport. The human was calling Nora on the phone and apologizing for being late. Doesn't the shuttle driver realize I have an important review to write and the human has someplace important to be.
Okay finally the big moment. We arrive at the Best Western Plus on Quebec Road and get to get out of the carrier. The room I have to say was a little dark and cold. Until the human opened the blinds and turned on some heat. Okay not so bad, I can see the room now. I also got to meet the human Nora which was very exciting. So the human frantically ran around the room for a few minutes and then her and human Nora leave. I have to say this room is nice but not quite as nice as the La Quinta we stayed at. The view was of someones house and in the far off distance we could see downtown Denver. I also did not like the window ledge at this hotel. I can not sit on it and look out the window. I had to stretch my self from the bed to the window to look out. Well the human returned from dinner and reported she had a very nice time. The human Nora had to go to an appointment in the morning, and we had our appointment in the morning at Orthopets. We spent the rest of the evening being lazy, eating ice cream and watching cable and settled in for the evening. I found the beds quite comfortable and like the LaQuinta there was a bridge between the two beds, so I could easily pass from bed to bed. In the morning, the human went downstairs for the complementary breakfast. She always likes it when there is a complementary breakfast Oh and here is one great feature about this hotel, we can climb under the bed. This made for an exciting morning as the human frantically tried to move the bed to get us in our carriers. So I have to give the Best Western Plus in Denver four paws out of five.
I liked the nice comfortable beds and easy access between the two beds. Beds you can climb under and hide from the human. I did not like the window ledge which I could not sit on and the view was kind of boring. Also if you are a dog, there did not look like many places outside to use the litter box. Nora thought the bed was also quite comfortable and enjoyed having one bed all to herself. The human liked the breakfast, the easy access to public transportation, and thought the bed was very comfortable.
